We crossed paths online the week before Thanksgiving in 2021, and had engaging conversations every night leading up to our first date on Saturday, December 4, at the Merriweather District in Columbia. Our first date turned into an eventful weekend! During lunch at Dok Khao Thai restaurant, we were approached by a kind woman who greeted us and asked if we were on our first date. She showered us with compliments, mentioning how great we looked together and wished us well. We were flattered. Following lunch, we ice skated at the rink outside the restaurant. Holding hands on the ice to a live band performance at sunset made the moment special. Following ice skating was a nice dinner in the area at Cured 18th and 21st, and ended our date driving through Merriweather's annual drive-through holiday light show. We decided to meet up the following day to watch the Ravens vs Steelers game at Watershed. We had a great time, and the most memorable moment was singing to each other when the DJ played, "Leave the Door Open". We had such a great time that weekend, stayed in contact, and decided to make this official.

Justin worked closely with our photographer to plan a couples photoshoot in Washington, D.C. Little did Brittany know, Justin was planning to propose during the shoot. It was a gorgeous day outside, and we decided to take pictures at the National Academy of Sciences Building on Constitution Avenue. The location and execution of the photoshoot was simply perfect! After taking several photos, we were instructed to stand with our backs facing each other by the lush floral garden. The photographer instructed Brittany to do a 360 spin. A few seconds after spinning around, Brittany realized Justin was down on one knee. Brittany said, "Yes!" Our photographer captured the entire moment. Now we're engaged, and so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club!
