Chaz and Hari’s love-story is a long and winding one, with the type of exciting detours and pit stops you’d expect from two people who, as Chaz’s aunt says about him, never let the grass grow under their feet. They started as virtual homies then professional colleagues. Back when Hari spent more of his time as an essayist and lecturer, Chaz, who worked in academia, invited Hari to give a talk at [university name]. I know what you’re thinking, Chaz was playing the long game. And no one’s saying he doesn’t know how to play it. But this professional connection first turned into a wonderful friendship, which deepened when Hari moved to [city name] in 2021. They both realized just how much their lives, passions, and neurodivergence aligned. They’ve heard that their chemistry was clear to everyone who saw them together, but as “neurodivergence” might indicate, they are both a bit delusional. In February 2023, at a beautiful birthday gathering Chaz helped plan for Hari after they found themselves adopting two dogs together unplanned - in addition to [first doggie name], Hari, tripping on shrooms in the hottub, found himself staring at Chaz when he realized that Chaz was his person. Chaz agreed. Real friends to lovers type shit. They privately got married on [marriage date]. No grand proposal or event. It just made sense, and felt right, so they did it. That’s been the throughline for this wonderful journey. And now, it just makes sense to share that love with their dear friends and family who’ve supported them through it all in this nontraditional nuptial soireé. So, they're doing it!
