Exploring the Twin Cities

We love calling the Twin Cities area our home. Here are some of our favorite spots for you to explore during our wedding weekend.
Surly Brewing Co.

Surly Brewing Co.

520 Malcolm Avenue Southeast, Minneapolis, MN 55414

Surly is sure to have a beer to please everyone! They also have amazing pizzas and a patio which means you could spend hours here if you bring a game or two. Fun fact- This is where we took our parents to meet for the first time. Andy's pick: Surly Furious IPA Sarah's pick: Whatever Sour beer is on the menu!

Hope Breakfast Bar

Hope Breakfast Bar

1 S Leech St, Saint Paul, MN 55102

Looking for a place to eat the morning after you've partied a little too hard? Look no further than the best breakfast spot in Saint Paul! We frequent here anytime a friend comes to visit because their menu is so unique and tasty. Reservations are strongly recommended! Fun fact- We went here on our first anniversary! Andy's pick: Breakfast Sandwich and Banana Bread latte Sarah's pick: Banana Churro Waffles with Pistachio Cardamom coffee

Can Can Wonderland - St. Paul

Can Can Wonderland - St. Paul

755 Prior Avenue North, Saint Paul, MN 55104

Can Can Wonderland is an arcade and mini golf park that you can get lost for hours in! Their golf course boats unique holes that we guarantee you've never seen before.

Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater

Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater

810 West Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN 55408

Didn't get competitive enough with your dance moves? Test out your bowling skills at this vintage bowling alley that boasts local brews and pub food. Don't ask Sarah or Andy how to manually keep score (or who is the better bowler!) Fun fact: This was featured in season 8 of the Netflix show "Love is Blind!"

Como Park Zoo and Conservatory

Como Park Zoo and Conservatory

1224-1256 Midway Parkway, Saint Paul, MN 55103

Close to our home, this is a free zoo with a bonus beautiful conservatory and sunken garden. The property is expansive and also includes a lake and pavilion. Fun fact: After we first moved in, Andy went for a run and ended up getting a little lost having gone around the whole zoo property. Sarah had to use "Find my Friends" to direct him back home over the phone!

Stone Arch Bridge

Stone Arch Bridge

100 Portland Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

Great views of Saint Anthony Falls! We walked here the night of our first date.

The Electric Fetus

The Electric Fetus

2000 4th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55404

Records are back in! If you have a turntable this is the spot in the cities to go look for a new record. Andy knows he can always get Sarah the latest Taylor Swift album if he's in a pinch. Fun fact: Andy got Sarah a record for their first anniversary of the band Bastille, which they saw in concert together. Sarah also got a signed Taylor Swift record here.

Bread & Chocolate

Bread & Chocolate

867 Grand Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55105

A local love when Sarah was living nearby. Great for breakfast pastries or lunch paninis as well as great coffee. While you're at it, take a stroll along Grand Avenue past some of the other local shops.

Minneapolis Institute of Art

Minneapolis Institute of Art

2400 3rd Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55404

The MIA general admission is always free and a great place to enjoy some fun artwork and culture!
