Let us set the scene. It was June 4th, 2016, and was Meredith's 23rd birthday. To celebrate the occasion, their mutual friend Tim suggested going to Compo Beach in Westport, CT for some sun. Meredith and her friend Emily got into Tim's truck and he told them, "We're going to pick up my friend Diti." The truck pulled into the Arditi family's driveway in Bedford, NY. If you're familiar with the neighborhood, you'd know there are exceedingly large boulders in almost every yard. The Arditis are lucky enough to have theirs proudly displayed on the left side of their driveway. It was the first thing Meredith noticed. Tim assured the girls, "Diti will probably take a while, he always has to look his best." From the front of the house, Anthony came out looking beach ready. He hopped in the front of the truck and greeted Tim. He then turned to the back seat and wished Meredith a happy birthday. Her reply? "Thanks. I like your rock." Smooth, right?

2020 had been a pretty weird year and restricted the possible "engagement spots" to strictly outdoor spaces for the most part. With the help of Anthony's sister, Rose, Anthony planned a walk on NYC's High Line park and the new structural park called the Vessel. November 15, 2020 was a bit of a gloomy day. Anthony had planned an outdoor proposal, and he was really hoping the rain wouldn't ruin that. As they walked hand in hand on the High Line, they talked about their life together. They arrived at the Vessel and began climbing the 154 steps to the top. True to form, Meredith got very winded and had to stop half way up to catch her breath. Once they reached the top, out of breath and slightly sweaty, Anthony suggested they take off their masks and take a picture with the view. They took their picture and then Anthony said "Before you put your mask on..." He pulled out the ring box and said many wonderful things about their life together so far, and how it will get even better in the future. Then Anthony asked Meredith to spend her life with him. She always feels like the luckiest girl, but she felt extra lucky in that moment. Anthony had also asked their friend Alexi to take pictures of the whole proposal. After the proposal, both of their families were waiting for them at their favorite restaurant, Palma. They had a private room to celebrate the exciting occasion and enjoy some of the best Italian food and drinks in the city!
