My best friend Shannon and her husband Ander (Adam's cousin) went to Atlanta for a weekend trip where they met up with Adam at a local restaurant. Shannon was just meeting Adam for the first time and was convincing him he needed to meet up with me once I moved to Atlanta. Shannon gave Adam my number and said to wait until I moved up to Atlanta to reach out to me and Adam didn't listen to her advice. After Adam reached out to me that next day, we started texting the entire month before I moved. Our conversations felt natural from the start. Between Adam telling me stories about him being a park ranger, to me telling him about all my college adventures we did not stop laughing. The first time we ever spoke on the phone is when Adam called me to say Happy Birthday, little did I know how strong his southern accent was. We went on our first "blind" date Labor Day weekend of 2018 which consisted of brunch, going to the Georgia Aquarium, bar hopping, and exploring downtown Atlanta (a total of 9 hours together). What started as the longest date ever eventually turned into us falling in love. I can't wait to see what our future holds!
