Matron of Honor
Laura and I have known each other since elementary school but we didn't get close until middle school when we joined the track team. She has been my best friend and biggest supporter since we started running relays together. Our friendship has continued to strengthen over the last 20+ years and I can't imagine not having Laura stand by my side on my wedding day.
Best Man
John and I go way back, we met as young kids. Over the years, our brotherly bond has been strengthened by our shared love of St. Louis Cardinal baseball, Home Alone quotes, and outwitting each other in the family group text. After we both lived in Austin together for a year, he's had a peculiar and undying urge to move farther and farther away from me (Austin->Seattle->Maui), but he's been gracious enough to accept my invitation to return to stand by my side on my wedding day. He's been the best brother, a true best friend, and now I'm privileged to be able to call him my best man.
Matron of Honor
I met Alyssa during our freshman year at UT after she, unbeknownst to me, decided I was going to be her friend and basically stalked me. You would think coercion would be a deal-breaker but by the time I realized what had happened we were already the best of friends. We were roommates all throughout college and during those formidable years we built an unbreakable bond. Alyssa and I were meant to meet, she just happened to realize it before me. I am so glad she decided that I would be her best friend and my wedding day would not be the same without her.
Groomsman
Nothing brings you closer than a shared experience in a medical school anatomy lab. You could say that my friendship with Jonathan was forged in formaldehyde. Fast forward several years and now Jonathan is now a valued friend, and neighbor!
Bridesmaid
Jenna and I were inseparable in high school, you would never see one us without the other. Early on in our friendship we decided to tell everyone that we were cousins so it didn't seem so weird that we were together ALL THE TIME. Jenna is my sister, cousin, and best friend all wrapped up into one beautiful package.
Groomsman
I've known Nathan since we were learning our multiplication tables in kindergarten at Holy Spirit in San Antonio. Though our math skills have continued to decline since then, we've remained best friends.
Bridesmaid
When Sara first met Jenna and I, she thought we were snobby brats and had no interest in getting to know us. Jenna and I refused to let the cool new girl sit by herself so we asked her to walk with us to the vending machine during theatre rehearsal. That one walk changed our lives forever, who knew vending machines had such power. My friendship with Sara has always been easy, fun, and full of depth.
Groomsman
When Canon and I met, we weren't on the same continent. He was in Europe, and I was on the phone with him scouring the area around the Texas Medical Center in Houston looking for an apartment for the two of us. We had just agreed to be roommates on a whim prior to starting medical school, and really the only thing we knew about each other was that we both enjoyed Crossfit. Based on that, this pairing seemed questionable at best. Yet, as it turns out we quickly became great friends.
Bridesmaid
Karla was a substitute roommate in college who we instantly fell in love with through a zoom interview. We only lived together for a semester but Karla has been one of my closest friends ever since. We've been friends for over 6 years now and we travel every year together for our annual girls trip. Most recently, Karla and I were stranded in Scottsdale for a week and loved every second of it.
Groomsman
My earliest encounters with Chris were during some heated middle school basketball games in San Antonio during the height of our athletic abilities. Ultimately, we both ended up attending the same high school and later became roommates at UT Austin. It was via a mutual friend of ours that I ended up meeting Allie. Many things have come and gone in the time since I first met Allie, but Chris has been a constant who has been with us through it all.
Bridesmaid
Katherine and I knew of each other in grade school but didn't become close until college when we all decided to live together in the cutest little house in Austin. Our friendship has continued to strengthen through our girls trips, bachelorette parties and our mutual love for our dogs. Katherine is one of the most loyal, genuine, and supportive friends I have ever had and I am honored to have her stand by me on my wedding day.
Groomsman
Gabe and I both went to Central Catholic High School and later both traveled to Austin where we attended different universities - our campuses were separated by about 1 mile. Though it was a challenge, we were determined to not let the distance keep us apart. We spent many weekends together exploring all that Austin had to offer including days on the lake, nightlife, and music festivals.
Bridesmaid
Bay was a random craigslist roommate we found our last year in college. WHO knew you could meet a lifelong friend on an internet ad site but I'm sure glad I did! We've spent countless nights eating pizza with sriracha (now hot honey) drizzle and making new friends while pretending to have English accents. Bayley made Austin home for me for the year Brian and I were long distance and I'll never forget that.
Officiant
Mary was the very first friend I made in Houston and after a very short time of knowing me she took me under her wing and introduced me to the greatest group of girls - after 6 years we still get together every Christmas and continue to celebrate each other's life accomplishments. Mary is a successful physician assistant and her compassion for her patients has been an inspiration to myself and Brian. She is my confidant, role model and one of the biggest supporters of my relationship with Brian. We couldn't have asked for a more fitting officiant. Brian and I are honored to be married by Mary! -Allie
Bridesmaid
Rachel is my Houston bestie! She has made Houston my new home and if Brian and I never leave Houston she (and her amazing husband) will be the reason why. She's my partner in crime, fellow sassy, and my best friend. There is never a shortage of laughs, games (and cheating), dogs, and gabbing when we are together. I feel like I have known Rachel my whole life! I'm so honored she said yes to spending this special day with me.
FLOWER PUP
The sign on her room read "Gloria", though we knew she was more of a "Jill". One belly rub was all it took for her to steal our hearts at the Houston Humane Society in November 2019.
