Brandon and Meghan were both living in Nashville and even working at the same hospital for two years without their paths ever crossing. Six months before ever meeting, a mutual friend constantly tried to set the two up. Besides her relentless efforts, the two of them were too stubborn to meet up and give it a try. Brandon and Meghan found themselves both working Thanksgiving night. The shift was going great for Meghan until an hour before shift change when a bald headed nurse came rolling down her ICU hallway with a “hot mess express” of a patient. In typical ER fashion, Brandon dropped off the patient and ran. The following night while Meghan was getting ready to clock into work, she saw that same annoying ER nurse and couldn’t help but wonder what the heck was he doing back on her floor. To her surprise, Brandon was working on her unit for the night. As Meghan recalls it, Brandon spent most of his shift trying to make awkward small talk, aka “flirt”. However, if you ask Brandon, Meghan seemed to be making several excuses to sit close to him during the shift. After that shift, Brandon slid into Meghan’s DM on instagram and the rest was history.
