This is about a 20-minute drive from Silverton. It includes more than 24 miles of walking trails. Canyon Trail/Trail of Ten Falls runs along the banks of Silver Creek and ten waterfalls, from which the park received its name. Four of the ten falls have an amphitheater-like surrounding that allows the trail to pass behind the flow of the falls.

The Oregon garden is an 80 acre garden that features the botanical beauty of the Willamette Valley & PNW. Included is a pet friendly garden and a children’s garden. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for anyone 60+, $2 for ages 5-12, and free for ages under 5. They are open daily from 10 am-3pm

Detroit lake is an hour drive from Silverton. This lake is 9 miles long and allows swimming, fishing, boating and camping. The campground includes horseshoe pits, a basketball court, a volleyball area, and a playground. There is a day use area that fills up very quickly in the summer time. You do have to pay to park in the day use area.
