On Thanksgiving Day in 2015, a simple conversation over the online dating app OkCupid about the Turkey Trot & food turned out to be the kick off of our 5+ year relationship! And the rest, as they say, is history!

While on vacation in San Diego, Elliot got down on one knee and after a sweet speech about our relationship, he asked "Amanda Megan Cashman, Daughter of a Tree Man, will you marry me?" The location of the proposal was in La Jolla Cove. We walked around the beach and enjoyed taking photos of the funny sea lions that were sunbathing. Elliot pointed out a shopping area that we planned on visiting and guided Amanda through a park, where she saw a large blue blanket in the grass. Elliot spread the blanket on the grass, revealing the words "MARRY ME"! Amanda was so surprised, she didn't even know the letters were for her. Then suddenly, a park performer started releasing bubbles in the air and covered them as Elliot gave a beautiful speech and opened a ring box! It was we were in a DREAM! With tears, laughter, tons of bubbles, people clapping, children running after the bubbles, Amanda was continued to be surprised by photographers who were capturing the special moment. Abe and Isaac Lopez-Bowen, who are some of our very best friends and the Leaders of Love for our wedding ceremony, were those photographers! It was amazing to have photos from that moment, but even more so, getting a big hug from close friends to start the celebration! For the rest of the vacation, we were treated with free bubbly & desserts everywhere we went! It was a dream vacation and we have been in BLISS ever since!!

We can't tell you enough how excited we are to be married and to celebrate with all of you. We appreciate the love, support, and encouragement you have given us over the years. As we make this commitment to each other and begin a new chapter in our relationship, we are honored to have you witness this special moment!!
