The funny thing is, a mutual friend tried to introduce us months before we actually met, but because Katy wanted to "be single", she turned down the chance for the first introduction. It wasn't until a few months later that we officially met, in August of 2016, and, unbeknownst to us, a lifetime of adventure began.

I, Katy, thought all week I was helping set up for a backyard barbecue get-together (little did I know). As we were pulling up to the party Friday evening, Ryan suddenly pulled out a blindfold and asked me to put it on, to which I responded "No" to. After being convinced to put the blindfold on, Ryan parked the car, helped me out of the car, and then it was complete silence outside! I knew he was up to something!! I had no idea I was about to cry my eyes out to a video collage of photos throughout our 3 years together. Ryan helped coordinate our family and friends to be there and watch over as he asked me to marry him, and I said "YES" to committing our lives together.
