Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends that will walk down the aisle with us. All of the Groomsmen stories are written by Carson. All of the Bridesmaid stories are written by Ashley.

Carter Henderson

Best Man

Carter and I have known each other since playing T-Ball together when we were 4 years old. Since our first and last names started with the same couple of letters, we were always right next to one another in athletics and honors classes from elementary school through high school. We even started our own lawn care business when we were 16. Carter has always been there for me through ups and downs. One of my favorite memories of Carter is when he came to visit me in Austin and went to a UT game wearing burnt orange even though he is a die-hard Aggie.

Leighton Harper

Maid of Honor

Leighton and I have known each other for longer than we haven't, and we have been friends since middle school when we were in the Gifted and Talented program together. We have basically been inseparable since then and even went to UT together. Funny enough, we are still following each other around and both ended up in Houston. She is loyal, kindhearted, and the best roommate (if you don't mind 500 morning alarms!) My favorite memory ever with Leighton was all of college! It was so much fun to be able to experience college with my best friend from 6th street to getting our UT ring together!

Greg Kimpler

Groomsman

Greg and I have known each other since freshman year of college. We shared a physics course and instantly became good friends after studying together and each of us being Mechanical Engineers. We worked on numerous projects together and had many nights out on 6th street. One of my favorite memories of Greg is when he came over to my apartment for a party and played a popular rap song of the time, and began singing and dancing along to it. Greg is the life of the party for sure.

Elise Lutz

Bridesmaid

Elise and I have known each other since starting college. We were both Neuroscience majors, so we had a lot of the same classes. We also lived together for a year which solidified our bond even more. She is hilarious, adventurous, and can put away more Mac and Cheese than anyone I know! My favorite memory with Elise was that one time we wanted to convince Carson I got a tattoo and so she drew it on me and then to make it red like a real tattoo she slapped the HECK out of me. She "accidentally" missed the spot where the drawing was and so she had to slap it again! Carson saw through it immediately...

Mark Miller

Groomsman

Mark and I first met at orientation for UT, we instantly hit it off and became incredible friends. We went to Camp Texas shortly after orientation together, shared a small group in Young Life, and even became Young Life leaders. We lived together for two years and share countless memories all over Texas and Colorado. One of my favorite memories of Mark is exploring Colorado. Snowboarding, going to breweries, and mountain biking.

Shannon Owings

Bridesmaid

Shannon and I have known each other throughout college but became good friends when we lived together senior year. Between the stress of getting ready for medical school and the late night horror movies, we built a friendship for lifetime. She is always down for whatever and is hilarious, smart, and so fun to be around! My favorite memories with Shannon were those rare nights when I would stay up later than midnight for wine and horror movie night. We would all laugh WAY too hard at things that were barely funny.

Zach Miller

Groomsman

Zach and I have known each other since freshman year of college although more so since the end of our sophomore year. Zach is a die-hard Texas sports fan similar to myself, however, could tell you just about anything about any Texas football player ever. Zach is also a coffee, cigar, and whiskey connoisseur. One of my favorite memories of Zach is Texas vs. OU weekend in Dallas. Lets just say that Zach is the rally master and Texas won that day.

Cameron Sanders

Bridesmaid

Cameron and I became friends through Zach and Carson being friends. Our double dates, trips together, and countless days hanging out at the boy's apartment, allowed us to become friends outside of them! She is also the dog mom I inspire to be! My favorite memory with Cameron was going to the TX/OU game together and sharing a tiny room with way too many people. That combined with getting into multiple Uber accidents in the exact same place made it a trip that we won't forget.

Nick Altamirano

Groomsman

Nick and I have know each other since our freshman year of college. We are also both Mechanical Engineers and we were both in a scholar program, which is where we met. Nick can tell you more about cars than just about anybody. We have shared many incredible memories of camping, skiing/snowboarding, and just life in Austin. One of my favorite memories of Nick is watching him absolutely shred at skiing in Colorado and New Mexico. He was even almost as good as me at snowboarding the first day he tried.

Emily Webb

Bridesmaid

Emily and I became friends in Gifted and Talented and strengthened our bond through awkward middle school band times and countless miles of running together. Em is such a caring and trusting friend! Even though she left me for UNT, our friendship has never wavered. My favorite memory with Emily was going to see Khalid and basically getting our insides smushed from the amount of people that were packed into that tiny room.

Kenny Espinoza

Groomsman

Kenny and I have known each other since freshman year of college since we shared a scholar program. We studied together countless hours, watched numerous Marvel movies, and enjoyed exploring Austin together. Kenny is a great friend and always selfless putting others before himself. One of my favorite memories of Kenny is him dancing as hard as he can in the middle of a party and everyone gathering around him hyping him up.

Lexie Garcia

Bridesmaid

Lexie and I became friends through Carson freshman year and even though she was his friend first, I think she liked me better. Although she hates Houston, I have convinced her to come and I think that says it all! My favorite memory with Lexie was: that one time she convinced us all it was a good idea to go float the river in the middle of a pandemic and we all almost drown in the shoot and lost almost all of our things.

Hayes Huff

Groomsman

I met Hayes through another groomsman, Mark. Hayes is one of Mark's best friends and we all visited him one summer while he was working in New Braunfels. We instantly hit it off! We floated the river that weekend and became great friends. Hayes is truly an amazing guy and extremely hard worker. He has his own woodworking business and actually made our cake/cupcake stand. One of my favorite memories of Hayes is hanging out on the river chilling and having some drinks!

Kelsey Vineyard

Bridesmaid

Kelsey and I became friends because we were in the same major and had basically every class together. We were also the first people to show up to class so we quickly bonded. We lived together for two years but what really strengthened our friendship were the mutual struggles in all of our classes. My favorite memory with Kelsey was: the first time we hung out she spilled her smoothie all over the place and I refuse to let her forget it.

Tommy Watson

Groomsman

Tommy and I have known each other since freshman year of college. We also shared the scholars program and became great friends from playing ping pong nearly everyday, basketball, and video games. Tommy is a loyal and incredible friend who is always there if you need him. One of my favorite memories of Tommy is when we were playing an intramural soccer game and he scored a goal from mid-field which ended up being the goal that won us the game.

Taylor Corley

Bridesmaid

Taylor and I became friends freshman year of high school but have known each other for a long time. From fishing partners to late nights staying up at each others houses, for a lot of high school, we went everywhere together. My favorite memory with Taylor was: when she caught the ONLY fish of the day at Lake Fork and we had to throw it back because it was less than an inch too short.

Chance Heck

Groomsman

I have known Chance since I was born. Chance is a passionate, hilarious, and adventurous man. I have learned so many things from him and he has inspired me to explore the world and learn about different people and cultures. Chance is loved by anyone he comes in contact with and is the definition of a role model. One of my favorite memories of Chance is when we were young and Chance had begun teaching himself how to play the guitar and banjo. One day I was walking to the bathroom and heard some music coming from inside. I walked in and he was playing the banjo on the toilet.

Evie Morris

Bridesmaid

Evie and I became random friends when she answered my plea for a roommate senior year of college. Although random, God for sure knew what He was doing. We got to bond through our early mornings when nobody else was awake, which is something I'll always miss since we all know Carson isn't going to wake up that early! My favorite memory with Evie was: playing death darts with you in the backyard at 912.

Kye Heck

Groomsman

I have known Kye well... since birth. Kye is an incredible go-getter and the father to my two nieces, Millie and Ruby. He is one of the hardest workers and most dedicated men I know. Kye definitely is a role model for the type of father, husband, and believer that I want to be one day. One of my favorite memories of Kye is when he played rugby for UT Austin and scored the first-ever Try for Texas in the National Championships on national television.

Allyson Schattel

Bridesmaid

Allyson and I became friends in the Dominican Republic when we bunked together. Although we were helping people all day and she was studying for her MCAT at night, we managed to get some nightly workouts in and bond over our lack of ability to eat DR food. My favorite memory with Allyson was: Catalina island relaxing and those long bus rides to and from clinic everyday.
