Andrew and Michelle first met in northern VA in October of 2014. Andrew was working as a government contractor, and Michelle had recently graduated from JMU and was working her first “big girl” job at NatGeo TV. They met through mutual friends - one of Andrew’s Radford fraternity brothers was dating one of Michelle’s first friends from JMU, and they introduced them at a country concert tailgate. Love at first sight is cliché, but they were inseparable ever since!

Once upon a Cherry Blossom season in Washington D.C, Michelle and Andrew had themselves a day. Walking around the National Mall, listening to live music with hot pretzels and beer, taking in the sites and eventually ending up at the Jefferson Memorial at sunset where Andrew got down on one knee. Among the bystanders was a hidden photographer Andrew had been coordinating with all day. Michelle cried happy tears and will always have the pictures to remember it. Little did she know that was just the beginning of the evening...back at their apartment were some of their closest family and friends waiting to celebrate!
