We went through all school grades together, but this is when it started. We first became friends when we sat beside each other in Mrs. Skipwith's computer class in 7th grade. We would both play Runescape on the computer with all of our friends. We even had little middle school crushes on each other but nothing came about it.
Fast forward a few years later.... We sat next to each other in Mr. Gulicks Algebra class. We weren't close friends at the time but was aware of each other. While we were waiting to switch classes one day, another student was picking on one of Jon's friends. Jon intervened by pushing the bully up against the white board to make him stop. We then switched classes and went to lunch. At lunch I saw Jon in the snack line. I went to get a snack as well and bumped into him. As the gentleman that he is, he let me in front of him. I then asked him about the situation that just happened in Math class. After that we departed from the snack line and went our separate ways. Shortly after, we became friends on Facebook where we talked through Facebook messaging. His friend, Matthew, encouraged him to ask me for my number through Facebook messenger. We started texting all day, everyday. After a half-day of school, Jon and his friend Matt planned to go to Buffalo Wild Wings. Jon invited me along with them. I met them there after getting all dressed up, and Jon paid for my meal. This impressed me.
My friend Ashlyn invited both me and Jon to go swimming in the river at her fathers house. We all met there to hang out. While we were on the river, I was on Jon's back because I didn't like the muddy bottom of the river. Before getting out of the river, Jonathan asked me to be his girlfriend.
Jon and I went to Nags Head, SC for 3 days, for our 7 year dating anniversary. On our anniversary day, we did a number of things. We went out to the beach for a few hours, we tried to climb the Bodie Island Lighthouse but it was sold out, and then went to eat at our favorite burger joint, Bonzai Burger. A storm was coming so we then went back to the hotel to wait it out. After the storm passed, we then went to the Dunes to watch the sunset. As the sun was almost touching the water Jon asked me to marry him, and of course I said YES!
We are so excited for you all to be joining our day of happy beginnings when we pledge our vows and faith to each other. We cannot wait to see you there on June 29, 2019!
