How could she say no to an engineer from NJ? Online messages quickly transitioned to text messages, and a few days later Tom and Jennifer met for coffee. They talked about everything from travel to cars, and before they knew it, "Closing Time" was being played and the cafe was closing down for the night.

After several coffee dates and drinks, the natural chemistry between them became undeniable. They decided to take a road trip to Austin and San Antonio. During the long drives they bonded over adventures, drinks, hiking, and good food.

Tom had only just moved to Houston for his job and was looking for friends, Jennifer had been in Houston for 1 year and wasn't planning to stay. They decided not to label their relationship and lived in the moment, especially since they were both going on extended vacations over the holidays.
