We had connected online through a dating app called "Bumble" and had hit it off through many conversations and facetime calls. We lived an hour apart from each other, me in Lynchburg and Tyler in Lexington. We had planned to meet for our first date in Lexington but I had gotten off a long spurt of shifts at the hospital and decided I wanted to meet sooner and brought him coffee to work since it was a late night for him. We connected from that first meeting and the rest is history. Sports will forever mean a lot to both of us!
It was Labor Day weekend and my best friend from Florida came up for the weekend. We had decided we wanted to go to a really pretty waterfall in western Virginia for the day and swim. The waterfall however was labeled as no trespassing and the police were there to monitor and make sure no one broke that rule. We were bummed and walked over to the overlook to see the waterfall through the trees. We were taking pictures and I turned around to admire the beauty and when I turned back around Tyler was on one knee and I was completely surprised! I of course said yes and we were engaged. We're so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you. Virginia truly is for lovers.
