First sight. Caught Staring: On a hot summer day in July of 2007 a curly blonde headed guy was caught looking my way. To this day it's still a funny story to tell when someone asks, "Where did you two meet?". Well, at Dairyland- the infamous gas station of our little old town. He was sitting in his truck looking at me & I was just being myself and acting a fool so as I tried to embarrass the friend I was with at the time with "HEY! My friend wants your number!!!" I never imagined it would be the number I would be calling and texting for the next 10 years! Our first date: A month later I received a random phone call from some guy I yelled at while at a gas station- if anyone knows me and knew me back then- this was a regular thing because I was wild. So confused as to who this guy was I agreed to lunch and running for some parts. Little did I know this was the start of our normal! He was a farmer. Holy shit. Not just a guy who helped feed the horses but a tractor driving, grease wearing, works to hard, always is more tan than me in the summer, hay throwing, chew spitting, farmer. What did I get myself into. First stop, that's right. The Courthouse Annex where he had to attend defensive driving class... that was an hour long. Don't you worry... the waiting room had a plug in wall fan. After grasping that this could potentially be a mistake we ended up at Rural King. After seeing what all he was buying it was real. Yup, he is a farmer. For real farmer. What did I get myself into...
The More I Tried... The more I fell in love with him. From his strong work ethics to his eyes, his smile and his housed personality. He was it. He was the one I could see a life with. From day one- or like day nine... maybe 45 I knew, I wanted to spend my life with this man. He swept me away into his world and it's been a world I wouldn't live in without him. I'm thankful for him.
