FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive by 4:30 pm, unless you know how to swim. The boat leaves the dock by 5 pm sharp. If you arrive early to Newport there are a few bars within walking distance from the boat.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear cocktail attire. For men we suggest slacks, button up, polo shirt, or even a suit and tie. Please no jeans. For women we suggest dresses (short or long), skirt, or slacks. Since we will be on a boat, please note it might get cold in the evening. Don't forget a jacket!

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is a parking structure in front of the boat dock, with a $20 flat fee. However, we recommend ubering or getting a hotel close by due to our open bar. Please no drinking and driving!

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

Please bring your photo ID/drivers license, it is required by the boat staff to board.

Question

Who can I bring as a guest?

Answer

You may bring your significant other (husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend/hot date). When in doubt, please ask. We kindly ask that there are no kids.

Question

What hotel should I stay at?

Answer

Great question! We are staying at the Balboa Bay Resort (0.8 miles/ 15 min walk) Friday and Saturday night. We would love for anyone to come join our hotel. If not, there are other options close by including Lido House (0.6 miles/ 13 min walk), Newport Beach Hotel (1.2 miles/ 25 min walk), and Holiday Inn Express (0.3 miles/ 8 min walk).

Question

What if I get motion sickness being on a boat?

Answer

Luckily for you, there are plenty of nurses and paramedics on the boat who are bound to have some Zofran. Just ask nicely. If not, we highly suggest packing some OTC Meclizine or wear a Scopolamine patch. Better yet.. just have a few more cocktails so you can't tell if it's the motion sickness or the tequila. Just please no vomiting on the boat!

Question

What is there to do after the wedding?

Answer

Glad you asked! Let's party some more. We plan on going to a few local bars once we dock the boat. Everyone is welcome to join, let the fun continue.
