We met as students at Louisiana Tech University, with no realization that it would be a life long friendship! We quickly became friends over our love for the Lord, as Nicole was a student leader with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries and Sam was a student leader with the Wesley Foundation. Our friendship grew throughout the years as we shared meals with friends, let conversations get deeper, and shared sweet memories! It wasn't until years later that Sam realized he had a chance! So he set out to woo Nicole and then asked her out on November 1st, 2018. She said no. We remained friends throughout the next seven months until he asked her out again. Again, she said no. After a lot of prayer, he asked her to be his girlfriend on June 23rd, 2019. This time, she said yes! We went on our very first date (finally!) on July 12th, 2019. Within a year of being together we knew we wanted to be best friends forever (Sam knowing way sooner than Nicole!), so on a beautiful evening at Navarre Beach on August 4th, 2020, he got down on one knee and asked her to make the friendship a lifelong commitment! And of course, she said yes! Now, we are excited to both say yes to Happily Hendricks on May 15th, 2021!
