we're getting married, let's celebrate!

We started dating on September 24, 2016. We had gotten to know each other through mutual friends during the summer of 2016. Our time together consisted of ice cream dates, campfires, drives around Abbotsford, and movies. Julia loved watching Brock play football in the fall, and Brock loved having Julia cheer him on. Since then, our relationship has grown through our experiences together. We continued dating as we both graduated high school, went to college, graduated college, got new jobs, and moved to Iowa.

We got engaged on the 4th of July, 2021. We had been living in Iowa for just under a month, but it was one of the first weekends we'd been able to explore our new city. We went to the farmer's market, walked around downtown Des Moines, and eventually went to the Waukee fireworks. After the fireworks show Brock waited until all the other people had left, then asked Julia to marry him. And, of course, Julia said yes! We are so incredibly excited and happy to commit to spending our lives together, forever.
