We’re getting married!

Kevin and Veronica met when they were juniors in high school. He sat next to her because he thought she was cute, and they instantly became friends. He drew hearts on her papers in class but she was oblivious to his feelings towards her. Senior year, Kevin asked Veronica to prom and of course she said yes. They went on several dates after prom, but still never admitted they had feelings for each other. One night when Kevin was saying goodbye, he planned on telling Veronica he liked her. He ended up accidently blurting out the words “I love you”. It freaked both of them out, and he thought he ruined his chances with her for good. It’s something they both laugh about now, but when they finally were ready to say those 3 words months later, Veronica had to initiate it (there was no way he was going to make that mistake twice). Flash forward 6 years, and Kevin & Veronica are on vacation in Maui shortly after their 6 year anniversary. They were on a hike and found a gorgeous waterfall. He told Veronica to lead the way and start climbing across rocks to reach the waterfall. At one point, she turned around to say “now what?” because she wasn’t sure exactly how to reach the waterfall. When Veronica turned around, Kevin went down on one knee (while balancing on a slippery rock) and shouted “Will you marry me?”. She was so surprised, she stumbled on the rock she was standing on and nearly fell into the water. It’s honestly a miracle the ring didn’t fall into the water. Veronica yelled back “YES!” and the rest is history.
