Our story began and took place in an English Class Sophomore Year at IUP. Josh repeatedly told Lauren, "you're my next girlfriend." Lauren, of course told Josh that wasn't going to happen. But, little did she know, she was sitting next to her future husband. Josh "harassed and harassed" Lauren until she finally agreed to go on a date. Like the gentleman he is, Josh took her to the finest Ruby Tuesday in Indiana, PA. The two had a great time and their relationship grew and grew. The relationship took the next step in the basement of Josh's fraternity. Josh and Lauren were together talking and dancing when Josh, with the help of a few Natural Lights, had the courage to swoop in and kiss Lauren. Were there fireworks? Did everything go in slow motion? Nope, Lauren ran away. But, Josh, even with his ego destroyed, still pursued Lauren. The two eventually started dating and made it Facebook official on March 16, 2011. Which everyone knows is a big deal. The two dated all through college. They survived Anchor Splashes, Josh being DG sweet heart, and drunk nights with the Bandits. After graduation, Josh and Lauren moved in together in Harrisburg. Josh went on to complete law school and to work for the Public Defender's Office. Lauren has worked her way through Elwood Staffing all the way up to a managerial position. The couple now lives together in Mechanicsburg, PA with their special dog, Benji.

Not quite the flash mob Lauren wanted, but Josh did just fine. The fun all started the night before at the incredibly fun Henry's wedding in Lancaster. All of Josh's friends were in town for the wedding and a party was planned for the following day at Josh and Lauren's house. Literally everyone knew what was coming, except Lauren. Even the Henry's, who unfortunately could not be in attendance, got into the fun by intentionally throwing the bouquet of flowers to Lauren. Behind the scenes, Josh has been planning September 30, 2017, for some time. He knew that was the day he was asking the love of his life to be his wife forever. He reached out to Lauren's parents, his family, and her friends and secured their attendance for the announcement. On September 30, 2017, the party was just getting started and everyone was outside playing flip cup when the music cut out. In walked Lauren's mom and dad, Josh's mom and step father, and Lauren's future maid of honor and bridesmaid, Abbie Derone and Alba Creus. These individuals walked in followed by Josh and a photographer. (Yes, he got a photographer.) He got down on one knee and asked Lauren to be his wife. And the rest is what they say is history.
