Kickapoo Creek Winery
Before the Wine Dr. David Conner, now a retired Orthopedic Surgeon, purchased the 250 acres back in the 1980's. It was a thoroughbred horse farm at the time. Dr. Conner turned it into a cattle farm until he got tired of chasing cows around. In the early 1990's, he sold the cows and started Conner Nursery & Gardens. Here they specialized in growing Hosta plants. In 2001, Dr. Conner planted his first crop of grapes and opened Kickapoo Creek Winery shortly after. Family Vineyards You can taste the delicious wine and the tasty food from Kickapoo Creek Catering daily in the Tasting Room. Walking Trails Grab a bottle of wine and take a walk through our breath taking grounds. Winery and grounds tour options available.

Peoria Riverfront Museum
The only multidisciplinary museum of its kind in the nation, the Peoria Riverfront Museum uses art, science, history and achievement to inspire confidence, lifelong learning, and talent. The museum manages a permanent collection of 15,000 objects and organizes more than 20 self-curated and visiting exhibitions annually in five major galleries and twenty-five total display spaces. Special programs include a 40-ft dome planetarium, 194-seat giant screen movie theater, and an array of educational programming that includes museum classes, camps, lectures, tours, travel programs, digital and video content. The museum has more than 200 community and national program and content partners, including affiliation with the Smithsonian.

Luthy Botanical Garden
Surround yourself with spectacular displays of spring blooming bulbs or the blazing color of autumn, the Garden offers a tranquil setting to enjoy the beauty of each passing season. Established in 1951, Luthy Botanical Garden encompasses five acres and offers over a dozen theme gardens, a Conservatory, educational programming, numerous events, a rotating sculpture exhibit and magnificent floral displays. Our Conservatory floral shows include a Spring Show, Orchid Show, Chrysanthemum Show and Poinsettia Show.
Northmoor Observatory
Located north of the downtown district in Donovan Park, the Northmoor Observatory is maintained by the Peoria Astronomical Society. Featuring a nine-inch refractor telescope and rotating dome ceiling, the observatory is open to the public every cloudless Saturday night between May and October. Surrounding the Observatory, Donovan Park, formerly Leo Donovan Golf Course, is filled with wide-open green spaces and pedestrian paths, including a cross-country course that's great for runners. Cyd's Gourmet Kitchen can also be found at Donovan Park, featuring a coffee bar, bakery, and take away cafe.

Kelleher’s Irish Pub opened in May 2001 and has been a Peoria staple ever since. Sit down inside this beautifully restored building with great Irish Decoration. Spirit of Peoria
Departure time: 2pm These cruises are1.5 hours-long and run 2 to 5 times a week. They begin and end at the riverfront dock in downtown Peoria, with the Spirit cruising up and down the Illinois River. Kids and adults alike will be fascinated by the boat’s tall fluted stacks and gigantic candy-apple red paddlewheel churning through the water. It’s great entertainment for all ages.
