How We Met

and so the adventure begins

November 2013 is when it all began as Lee and I were set up through a mutual friend at UNL. I went into the night knowing about Lee; but as he introduced himself as Toby, an art major, it was clear he was unaware of this "set up". Fortunately, with some time, this "Toby" guy came around and we went on our first date a couple months later. Since then, we have spent 75 days 1,610 miles apart, 7 months 60 miles apart, and 4 years 555 miles apart. If you ask us what we are most looking forward to with marriage, the answer is easy. We cannot wait to finally be together every day. Being together is the best thing we have ever waited for and we can't wait to begin this next adventure.

The Proposal

A Date Day Unlike the Rest

It became an annual tradition in December to go ice skating and to the Joslyn Art Museum. However, December 26th, 2018 was a date day unlike the rest. We went ice skating, in downtown Omaha, and surprisingly avoided falling on our butts. We took a walk through the Joslyn Art Museum while Lee stopped and read just about every plaque possible (insert eye-roll). We enjoyed dinner at Upstream where Lee suggested afterwards we take a walk through the Gene Leahy Mall to see the Christmas lights. While on the bridge, Lee got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said, "Yes!" followed by asking a hundred times, "Are you serious?!" The night ended surrounded by our family and friends celebrating the beginning of our forever. We cannot wait to share the best day of our life with you. See you October 4th, 2020 to finally celebrate our wedding!
