Nadia and Aaron first met in college at Ottawa University in 2017 during Aaron's Sophomore Year and Nadia's Freshmen Year. They have both always had a strong passion for music and singing as they were both involved in the University Concert Choir. Of course Aaron being his jokester self, and just a very kind hearted person as well, he got Nadia's attention pretty quick. They talked for a about a month going on dates, with some of their favorites being Chipotle and going to the movies. They finally made it official on October 23, 2017.
Since being with Nadia for about a year and a half, Aaron knew that Nadia was the one that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and marry. About 10 months before proposing, Aaron went over and talked to Nadia's parents about proposing to her sometime in the next year, and they of course said yes. The big questions Aaron then had to think about were, when am I going to propose, and how am I going to do it? Aaron wanted to make sure that this moment was very special and perfect for Nadia, but just could not figure out exactly what he wanted to do. December of 2020, after Nadia finished up at her Christmas choir concert, she asked Aaron if he wanted to do a duet with her at her last choir concert which would be in April of 2021. Without any hesitation, Aaron said yes. This was a win- win situation for Aaron because not only does he get to sing a duet with Nadia, but he also had a perfect way to ask Nadia to be his wife.Leading up to the big day, Aaron had to try his best to keep all the excitement in so that he would not ruin the surprise engagement. April 16, 2021 finally arrived and Aaron was nervous as ever. At the moment of stepping on stage, everyone in the crowd and choir knew that this proposal was happening in minutes except for Nadia. With all cameras out, the duet began and Aaron and I Nadia sang their duet of "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better". Right after the duet and before stepping off stage, Aaron got on one knee. Before he could even ask, Nadia was jumping in joy and shaking her head yes over and over. This had to be one of the best moments that have happened in both of their lives, and they got to share it with their parents, siblings, and close friends.
