We're Getting Married!

Although we never formally met, our paths crossed many times as we knew the same people, hung out at the same parties, and I even hung out briefly in Scott's apartment, without us even interacting. Years later we came across each other on a dating app, and we were instantly lovestruck. Our first pandemic date consisted of endless conversation, eating pizza, alley picked flowers, and poetry. We felt like we had known each other a lifetime. Since then we have worked on improving our 130 year old home and filled it with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and lots of plants. Together we have gone to California, North Carolina, Florida, Northern Michigan, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Guatamala.

A few days after our 2 year anniversary, we took a weekend trip to Nordhouse Dunes with our pups and rented a tiny home on the lake. We went on a hike to the dunes, and when we got to the beach, there was barely a single person to be seen, and nothing but the sound of Lake Michigan waves. Scott grabbed my hands, looked into my eyes, and told me it doesn't matter what life throws at us, all that matters is that he has me by his side. He got down on one knee, took out the ring, and asked me to marry him. I was smiling ear to ear and said "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you then!
