We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Alex and Julia met through mutual friends on January 19, 2013 at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. On the day they met, Julia was unable to give Alex her phone number because Alex’s phone was dead (which was a common theme throughout college... and now), but Alex found her on Facebook and messaged her the next day. They continued talking, hanging out with their mutual group of friends, and then fell in love a few months later. Alex has a deep-rooted love for Ohio State, but he's grateful that he didn’t submit his SAT’s in time for the OSU deadline and ended up at NAU, where he met the love of his life.

On the 7th anniversary of the first day they met, Alex proposed to Julia at Baker Beach under the Golden Gate Bridge. They went to a seafood restaurant called The Waterbar for a celebratory dinner afterward, which is where they had their first date night when they moved to San Francisco.
