How We Met

Two Less Fish in the Sea

We were one of the lucky couples that found our match through the wonders of online dating. Through a series of delays ranging from Sarah's busy Holiday schedule at The Rainier Club and Adam's immune system, we didn't experience out first date until nearly two months after we began talking. Finally the stars aligned and we had our first date watching the Pro-Bowl at Spitfire. We both knew almost immediately that there was something unique between us that we mutually wanted to explore. Two months later we made it official. Fast forward to spring of 2017, we moved in together and many adventures followed.

The Proposal

Of Course I Said “Yes”

When Adam finally proposed, it was at Snoqualmie Falls (one of our favorite spots) under the pretenses of 'Date Night.' About a week before our trip to Mexico, Adam convinced me to take an early night at work so that we could have a night out. He was very persistent about it happening the week before we departed and that's when I started to wonder. Despite suspecting the proposal, I tried to just let it all happen. We left the house and started driving East on I90 heading towards the mountains. It took me a moment to realize that we were heading to Salish Lodge for dinner (a place I had mentioned wanting to go to in the past) and Snoqualmie Falls. Once we arrived, Adam suggested we walk around for a moment as we still had some time before our reservation. Before I knew it, he was leading me to the observation platform that overlooked the waterfall and seconds later he dropped down on one knee. The moment was absolute perfection. There were tears and kisses and I completely forgot what he said other than "Will you marry me?," but needless to say, it was magical. So here we are now, planning our big day which we cannot wait to share with you all!

Postponement & Elopement

The COVID-19 Pandemic Can't Ruin LOVE

Unless you've been living under a rock, we've been living through the global pandemic caused by COVID-19. Like many brides around me, we were forced to postpone or even cancel our original wedding after we were hit hard by lockdowns and intense guidelines. But at the end of the day, we wanted to keep our wedding date. With no time to spare, we switched gears and began the process of not only connecting with our vendors to confirm a new wedding date, but also plan an entire elopement! We ended up choosing Gold Creek Pond at Snoqualmie Pass as our elopement spot and rented our AirBnB in Kirkland. All was set. Then the week of the wedding, all hell broke loose. Our AirBnB suddenly had to cancel on us due to medical issues, wedding receptions were banned all together making it so we could only have 5 guests outside our household present and the weather was showing rain all week into the weekend. By some miracle we were able to secure a new beautiful location in Cottage Lake and decided we would only have our parents and best man/maid of honor in attendance, but the weather forecast looked bleak. The morning of our elopement, it hailed relentlessly with thunderstorms in the forecast for the mountains. Snoqualmie Pass was no longer an option. We simply wanted to get married and were all set to just stand on the porch and get soaked while we said "I Do." It was our Superwoman Photographer Sarah (yes our Photographer's name is ALSO Sarah) who literally saved the day. She had been watching the weather in Seattle and connected with a friend in the area to confirm the presence of sunshine. As it turned out, Discovery Park, which happens to be 2 blocks from our house and the same location we took our engagement photos, was full of sunshine. We hopped into vehicles and rushed west. To our surprise and delight, it was sunny and 55 degrees. We found a shaded spot under an apple tree with the tiny white chapel in the background and became Mr. and Mrs. on 10.10.2020
