If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us and we will do what we can to accommodate!
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code is considered beach formal. For the ladies, a dress or jumpsuit work for a beach formal wedding. Opt for light colors (avoiding black, cream, and white) and breathable fabrics. For your safety, we do NOT recommend wearing heels. For the guys, wear either a suit or a long-sleeved button-down shirt and slacks. Consider a breathable fabric such as linen, or khaki. Shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops are not permitted. Let us know if you have any questions!

Question

Can I bring a date or a plus one?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Due to this, dates or a "plus one" are not permitted. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Are our kids welcome to come?

Answer

We do have a few planned children that will be attending the wedding, however we do recommend leaving the kids at home, if possible! If you are unable to do so, please let us know in advance so that we may coordinate with the venue regarding dinner for your kids!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is free parking at the venue and as well as an overflow parking lot if needed!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see our "Accommodations" page on our website which will showcase a few of the hotels that Justin and I have personally stayed in and recommend. We have also blocked off rooms at Cape Pines Motel, however these are completely optional. We always recommend checking AirBnb for any groups that wish to bunk together!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please inform us ASAP if you will need special diet accommodations so we can coordinate with the venue and ensure there are dietary options that will meet your needs!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1st.

Question

I've never been this far south in the Outer Banks! What is there to do?!

Answer

That is a great question! While the northern neighborhoods of the OBX tend to be filled with tourists, you may have noticed that around Buxton and neighboring towns, things are a little more slow paced. Please see our "Things To Do" tab and check out the local food as well as some of the island staples that you sure do not want to miss!

Question

What days will the bride and groom be down at the beach?

Answer

We will be checking in on Thursday, June 3rd and checking out on Monday, June 7th.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please prepare to arrive at the venue and be seated by 4:00 PM. If you are a member of the wedding party, day-of details will be provided to you.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Is that even a question?! Yes! There will be beer, wine, and cocktails served throughout the night.

Question

I heard there is a pool. Can I bring my bathing suit?

Answer

Yes! After the reception, we plan to have lots of fun! The venue has a private pool on site. If you'd like to swim, please bring your bathing suit and you may change after dinner!

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

We totally understand! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" by May 1st.
