Taylor and Kyla were two distinct people following different paths through life. The internet served as the connecting road which linked them together. Taylor finally asked Kyla on their first official date after a few months and when basketball season came to an end. Kyla would tell you afterwards, "that night was so magical and filled with laughter." "She's really pretty," Taylor would say, "but she doesn't know anything about sports." When the world came crashing down in January 2020, and there was nothing but uncertainty and a state of confusion, but for Taylor and Kyla, it was the start of something wonderful, and they were assured of their choices. Taylor and Kyla would spend time together every single day of the pandemic, getting to know each other's likes and dislikes. Taylor would find out that singing and dancing in the kitchen is normal, and Kyla would certainly learn that you don't make plans when there are special sporting events on TV. After some time, the two grew extremely close to each other, eventually becoming inseparable. His quiet and laid-back manner complimented her outgoing and carefree personality like jigsaw puzzle pieces. And if you think the story couldn’t get any better Taylor and Kyla's life would be permanently changed on December 31st, 2022, New Year's Eve. After a lovely day at Disneyland, Mother Nature determined that she wanted to wipe away any ill energy from the 2022 year before the start of the 2023 year. The rain was falling hard! Taylor was worried that this might jeopardize his intentions, which he had been keeping a secret from Kyla all day! After riding all of the rides they wanted to ride and eating all of the churros they could eat that day, they decided to leave before the fireworks because they figured there wouldn't be any due weather. But, on the way out, Kyla wanted to take one final look at the castle! "This is my moment, now or never!" Taylor thought to himself. So, while they were admiring the castle, Taylor got down on one knee, rain pouring down on him, and proposed to Kyla! Kyla would tell you that "...for half a moment, the rain stopped, and we were the only two people in the park!" Taylor, on the other hand, would probably comment something along the lines of ".....my knee was an inch deep soaking wet in a puddle." Regardless, the occasion was amazing, and they are overjoyed to be starting on this new adventure together.
