"It's Michigan." That was Paige's mom's first response when we were adding this question to the website, but for those less familiar with this silly phrase, it simply means we can expect many different weather patterns within a single day. We will cross our fingers for beauiful, early spring weather, yet being in the UP and by the water can be an adventure. Bring layers even if the weather apps predict it to be warm which they probably will not. It will likely be windy at least some of the time (Paige suggests mid to full length dresses/skirts or something form fitting for those choosing these options).
As we continue to navigate the pandemic, it's crucial for us to address health and safety questions or concerns our guests may have—particularly elderly and immune-compromised individuals. We do ask for anyone who is sick to please stay home and rest. Take care of yourself and others, we absolutely understand that being sick cannot be predicted. We will follow any needed CDC recommendations and provide any needed updates as the time of our wedding approaches.
We are setting up a shuttle as an option for guests staying at TBD. There are also free shuttles running to and from the Kewadin Casino for those choosing to stay or visit the casino. The casino shuttle runs daily: 9 a.m. – 3 a.m. To arrange pick up please call the direct Shuttle Line at 906.643.2125 or 1.888.KEWADIN. Free street parking is available and there are small parking lots on each side of the venue along with a road that runs behind the venue with additional space to park (it's not particularly formal if you choose this option).
No passports needed to travel to the Upper Peninsula, unless you're one of our overseas guests.
The full event will be at the Boardwalk Inn and Fireworx Bar. A small tent will be set up outside to provide additional space for mingling.

Semi-formal to Cocktail attire with the optional theme: moody floral- Paige here. I know, I know, what does this mean? We wanted a range of options for our guests so for folks choosing suiting, what this means is dress shirts and ties aren't required, nor are matching suit pieces. You can mix and match suit separates, or leave your tie at home. If you enjoy wearing a more formal suit, please feel free! For those wearing dresses, any length is an option, however keep in mind it will likely be windy. Please feel free to wear fun colors, have patterns, beading, whatever makes you feel fantastic. And speaking of fantastic, our optional theme is just for fun, our wedding venue is very eclectic and Paige loves flowers and wants to see as many as possible on our wedding day.
While we would LOVE to say, "the more the merrier," our venue is very small and our guest count is limited to those the invitation is addressed to.
Our venue is not particularly children friendly and is quite small (think lots of decorative objects and sharp corners). We are limiting our guests to those listed on the invitations which means there may be a limited number of kiddos (like Paige's nephew!). There will not be a children's food menu available for our younger guests.
There will be a variety of heavy appetizers and a grazing table available to guests with a mix of vegetarian and nonvegetarian options. There will not be a seated formal dinner (but we promise you will not leave hungry).
