Like all modern love stories, it all started by swiping right. Zach initiated the conversation inquiring about the best opening scene for the show, The Office. After ranking the opening scenes virtually, Janelle and Zach decided to meet in person. Their first date was in a movie theater watching A Star is Born. After the movie (and IYKYK how sad it is), they grabbed a drink to talk about the movie and further get to know one another. Since that date, the two have been inseparable. They continue to laugh and learn from one another as they build their life together.

Janelle was the first to tell Zach that she loved him. While that may not seem shocking, it was in the moment. At the time, she had been working long hours under high stress circumstances. Zach had offered to help her by filing paperwork and doing little things to help offset her workload. He was kind, patient, quiet, and in tune with what she needed to get things off her to do list. She was typing on the computer, someone had walked out the door, and the phone was going off the hook. When she finally was off the phone, Zach had given her an update on his progress. All the little things he had accomplished within that time took such an immense burden off her shoulders, and she then muttered, 'I love you.' Zach looked up from what he was doing in shock and said, 'What?' Janelle quickly realized what she had so naturally blurted out and promptly said, 'F#ck.' They both laughed. Her heart knew the amount of love she had for him before her mind could catch up.
