Let's get this party started!

Ryan and Khali met the way a lot of couples do in today's digital age - through a dating app called Hinge! Khali had just gotten a promotion that required her to move to Portland, and on her way there she decided to take a peek at what the dating pool was like out in the PNW. On her 20-hour road trip from Arizona, Khali decided to kill some time in the passenger seat swiping away. Ryan had pictures featuring the Game of Thrones iconic Iron Throne and playing lacrosse so Khali knew he was the one! ;) Fast forward to their first date, Khali and Ryan got drinks at Dukes in Lake Oswego and ended up talking for over 3 hours. Khali remembered not wanting the date to end. At the end of the date, Khali suggested sending Ryan a Youtube Video about Harry Potter and sneakily got his number that way. In 2020, Khali and Ryan spent a lot of time together getting to know each other as the world shut down - doing puzzles, playing video games, going on hikes and binge watching their favorite series on Netflix. It was during this time that Khali could see herself living and being with Ryan long term. They switched off spending time at each others' houses and living together felt as easy as breathing. Later that year, Ryan bought his first house and Khali moved in with him. In July 2021, Ryan and Khali traveled to Suncadia/Cle Elum for a Hearon family vacation. Khali had the chance to meet some of Ryan's family and had a wonderful time. One night when Khali went to bed early, Ryan told his family how he was thinking of proposing later that year. In December 2021, Ryan got down on one knee and asked Khali to marry him in a winter wonderland at Mt Hood. Their dogs Charlie and Oscar were there too, of course, and approved the union.
