First comes love, then comes marriage

Childhood Sweethearts

Robbie and Katy first met in 1986 when his family moved in next door to her and her sisters in Alameda, Ca. She was 6, he was 8. After a rocky start (Robbie and his brother had the nerve to play on THEIR swingset) the two of them became the best of friends. Katy was Robbie's first crush. Robbie was Katy's first kiss (he's gotten better at it since then). And Robbie first proposed on Katy's 10th birthday. A year later, Katy and her family moved away to Stockton separating the two young loves. Over the next 22 years the two of them lived their lives, but never forgot each other. In 2010 the two reconnected on Facebook. Fate smiled upon the two long lost lovers and they found themselves not only living in the same city, but less than 5 miles apart! After chatting together all day they decided to make plans for the following Friday to get together and catch up. Two days later, they decided they couldn't wait and made plans to see each other immediately. Two days after that, on April 7, 2010 they had their first date. In 2018, on a family trip to Disneyland with the kids Robbie planned to propose at the top of the ferris wheel with a tiara (the ONLY way to propose to a princess) but then realized that his princess, not knowing the intended purpose of the tiara, hadn't decided on the *right* tiara yet. The next night, in front of the Lego statue of Beauty and the Beast he proposed to his princess. Thankfully she didn't take as long to decide on an answer as she did deciding on a tiara!
