I was born in Pasadena, Texas at a very young age. I met my wife, Theresa, in 1st Grade. Our engagement was almost as long as Heath & Claudia’s… we didn’t get married until after high school. Zing! The first time I met Heath, Jr., I remember a lot of crying. I’ve been an ordained Deacon of the Catholic Church for almost 5 years now. I get to do baptisms, weddings, and funerals (hopefully in that order.) I’m very happy that Heath & Claudia are getting married. I will not be pressuring them for grandchildren, but I will be asking Siri to set a timer for 9 months at the end of the wedding ceremony.
Dr. Mario A. Vazquez Garcia
Father of the Bride
Born and raised in Durango, Dgo. Mexico, Mario received his M.D. from Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango and immigrated to California in 1987 where he met his wife Consuelo, a fellow Duranguense. After working in the medical field for a number of years, Mario dedicated his professional career to teaching medical home-care and empowering aspiring nurses. Claudia is the youngest of their 5 children and the 2nd to be married this year!

Theresa met Heath Sr. in the 1st grade. Years later after high school they reconnected and then Heath Jr. came along! Since raising Junior and Aurielle, she's gone back to school recently received her B.A. in Psychology in May 2019 from Houston Baptist University. Favorite memory: Instituting "Mommy school" where she gave Heath (and Aurielle) a dictionary once a week and made sure they picked out 5 new words to memorize and perfect. Least favorite memory: 18 hours of labor!!

Originally from Durango, Dgo, Connie moved to Los Angeles, CA at the age of 13 with her parents and sister. The oldest of 5, Connie built her business in income tax preparation and business consulting and has run it for over 41 years, and happens to be where she met her husband Mario. She is a dedicated Catholic missionary and spends her weekends with her fraternal order of the Missionaries of the Cross (Misioneros de la Cruz).
Alex McCauley
Best Man
Heath and Alex both grew up in Houston, but they met in New York where they went to college in the honors program and roomed together for two years. They both enjoy pubs and puzzle games, but today they live on opposite coasts because sometimes life works out that way. Alex writes software for a living (for a company who shall remain unnamed but it rhymes with Boogle and Dotube), sometimes plays D&D, is way too into craft beers, and always says he's about to take up carpentry.

Hello everyone! I feel so very grateful and blessed to be Claudia's best friend of 16 years now. We met in elementary school at St. Dorothy's School and have been inseparable since. No matter the distance introduced to our friendship, our jokes and love for each other has never faded. Currently, I'm an In-Home Design Manager for Best Buy and love volunteering and singing for St. Dorothy's LifeTeen Confirmation program.

Hi I'm Joey, I'm Heath's older cousin, but I'm more of a big brother to him. I'm psychology major at University of Houston Clear Lake and from Houston originally. I've only had the pleasure of meeting Claudia a handful of times, but I can't wait to get to know her better as we welcome her into the family. My favorite memory of the two of them together was having them as tour guides as they showed me around New York.

Hi I’m Auri. I’m Heath’s little sister. I’m a senior at Bryn Mawr College and I’m studying sociology. I’m also a varsity rower. My favorite memory of Heath and Claudia was during my first year of college when I stayed with my brother over winter break and we went to Chuck E. Cheese for Claudia’s 22nd birthday party.

Beto, as he's called by the family, has known Claudia for 24 years, so you can say they're old friends. But more accurately you could also say he's her brother, because he is. When he's not scamming the IRS out of money preparing tax returns, Beto enjoys hipster beers, yelling at soccer games and teaching his daughter Sophie to be the world's greatest wrestler.

David (Dah-veed) as he's known to his family or The Toxic Supra Dave, as he is known by the Youtube community, has also known Claudia for 24 years because, you guessed it, he too is her brother. When he's not tuning cars for a living, David enjoys balmy Florida afternoons, volunteering at an exotic animal rescue center and eating all the tacos in the world.

Since then, they have been thick as thieves, inspiring and supporting each other throughout life's adventures and he considers Claudia one of his nearest and dearest friends. Ian currently lives in New York City and works in financial services.

Emily, Director of Policy and Outreach at Peace Action New York State, is thrilled to be included in the wedding party of her dear friends, and cannot wait to sob at their wedding.

Father David has served as a Catholic priest for 29 years, having been ordained by St. Pope John Paul II in Mexico. In addition to being the pastor of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Durango, Dgo. he is Claudia's uncle. Having officiated at Claudia's baptism, first communion, quinceañera and confirmation, Father David is looking forward to co-officiating the sacrament of marriage for Heath and Claudia.

Born on March 20, 2018 Sophie (or Sopita as she's called by her parents) loves to babble very eloquently, spend time with her cousins and go to Disneyland. Her tios Heath & Claudia are her baptismal Godparents along with her tios Carlos & Yessenia Morales. She is so excited to ride her very first airplane to see her padrinos get married!
