For those of you who remember, I was with Brandon back in high school. We were together for a little over a year and he had just graduated high school that May while I was still in the heart of high school as a sophomore/junior. He and I talked and made the decision to split. We came to the discovery that we were meant to be together, but not at that time. So we stepped away from each other and went our separate ways. Fast forward 6 years and I reach back out to him to see how he was doing after years of checking back in on him to see how he was doing because that little piece of me still loved him and wanted him in my life. We talked for a few months, me adamant about not getting back with him, but that voice in my head that still loved him picked at me until I said "let's do this." He and I got back together and it's been the best decision of my life. He and his dad and brother came down to Springfield this weekend to see me and their family, and it's almost like we were never apart for those 6 years. I believe that our hearts were still connected for all that time, and I can say with the sincerity in my heart that I love him with my entire being. -C.H.
I had just moved into a new apartment. Brandon and my best friend Hannah came down o help me move and get settled in. Brandon had told me that he had been working on something for a while, and that I would get it soon. I saw a suspicious Facebook post by him and immediately got giddy because what else was I supposed to think? He came down and bugged me until I opened up and looked at the drawing he had been working on for me and I saw what he wrote on it. He wrote "Veux-tu m'épouser, bébé?" Which roughly translates to "will you marry me baby?" After I read it, my suspicions were confirmed by him getting down on one knee and asking me to be his forever person!
