Shuttle

Jamaica Tours Limited Shuttle

Jamaica Tours Limited (JTL) is the resorts chosen shuttle bus. The shared bus transfer from the airport to the resort is about a 15 minute drive. They offer roundtrip transportation from Montego Bay Airport for $33 per person. You can choose to add it to your reservation while booking, or by calling the resort and adding by request. Due to the shuttle transporting Jewel Resorts guests, it does make stops at our other properties. However, the Jewel is the first it normally stops at, due to proximity. Jamaica Tours Limited also does private transfers, if you would rather do a private transfer to the resort, you can choose that option while booking. The cost for private shuttles are listed below: PRIVATE SEDAN $280 Per Stay 1-2 Passengers Flight information is required on check-out. Passport Services

A flight to Jamaica is International, and requires that all guests have a passport to board their flights. A Passport Card CAN NOT be used alone for this trip. You must present a passport book and an approved travel authorization form to check in to your flight. Processing Times: Apply now for routine service and expect to receive a passport in 10-12 weeks. Pay an additional $60 if you want to expedite your passport in 4-6 weeks. Apply Early: Because of increases in COVID-19 cases and local health conditions, The Department of State only have an extremely limited number of appointments for in-person services, However, guests can mail in applications via regular mail, or USPS' Priority Mail Express. Travel Note

Travel Authorization Form (FREE)

All people traveling to Jamaica must fill out a travel Authorization form to enter the country. The sole use of the information collected here is to evaluate the health risks of all persons intending to travel to Jamaica and to auto-populate portions of the Immigration, and Customs Declaration to enhance the process on your arrival. Travel Authorization applications must be submitted within seven (7) days of the intended travel date. The link below will navigate you directly to the FREE application. Save an electronic or printed copy of the Travel Authorization as you will need to show it to an airline agent at check-in, or when boarding your flight.

Proof of Negative COVID Test for Arrival and Departure

We are closely monitoring the ongoing government restrictions for travel. The Government of Jamaica has announced new testing requirements for all travelers entering the country. As of Thursday March 4, 2021, all persons entering Jamaica (both Jamaicans and non-Jamaicans) will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test which was conducted within 72 hours prior to date of travel at check-in for their flights. As of now, the Jewel offers the convenience of on-property COVID-19 antigen testing, which is accepted as part of the CDC's expanded U.S. travel requirements. Antigen tests are available ( for a fee) to registered guests returning to the U.S. from any of the 17 Playa resorts across Mexico and throughout the Caribbean.
