Chris and Melissa met the very romantic way most modern love stories begin: at Melissa’s job in North Carolina. What started as casual interactions quickly turned into easy conversation, inside jokes, and the slow realization that something special was happening. By their second date, Chris claims he already knew Melissa was “the one,” thanks to two very important decisions: she ordered a whiskey drink and her steak medium rare. Case closed. From there, countless dates, shared adventures, and lots of laughter followed, along with a deep friendship that made everything feel easy and right. On March 1, 2025, surrounded by family and the breathtaking beauty of Luray Caverns, Chris got down on one knee and asked Melissa to marry him.
