Travel Note

Our Story

In February 2020, we met at David's alma mater, Michigan Technological University, during their annual Winter Carnival celebration. This is where our 4 year journey of long distance starts! Heather was studying at MTU's rival school, Northern Michigan University. We quickly connected on our passion for traveling and seeing new places. After we graduated from college, David worked full time as a mechanical engineer at Marathon Petroleum Company in St Paul, MN. Heather studied Nuclear Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. During our time in Minnesota, we enjoyed many motorcycle trips together and got to cross Voyageurs National Park off our bucket list! David decided to switch gears and attend the University of Kentucky to further his education in Medical Physics. Heather moved to Nashville, TN and worked at Vanderbilt University. We made numerous trips to the Smoky Mountains and absolutely loved our time hiking and exploring the national park on 2 wheels! To add to the craziness, we rescued our first fur baby, Sully! He was quite the trooper putting up with us trading him off & living at both of our apartments - he's happy to be in one place now too :) After 2 years in the south, David was placed in Terre Haute, IN to complete his 2 year residency. This is where our long distance ends! (Yay!) In January 2025, we took a bucket list trip to Costa Rica where David proposed! We both minored in Spanish in college and have a passion for traveling to Spanish speaking countries… we hope to explore more in the future! Then, we rescued our second kitty Calvin, and he was the perfect addition! And now, we are so excited to announce we'll be moving to Wisconsin this upcoming spring. After so much movement over the years, we are looking forward to staying planted for the foreseeable future! We have made countless amazing memories along the way and met some of our dearest friends! For this, we are truly grateful. We look forward to what our future holds in Green Bay!
