How do I put words together to describe my genuine love for two of my favorite people in the world? After a week of pondering and overthinking I reached out to my brother to ask for his opinion and he told me, “Just write about how amazing I am and how lucky Taisha is to have me!” I decided to do just the opposite! They say people come into your life for a reason, and in this case that couldn’t be more true. My brother was born my best friend, but fate made Taisha my sister. From us bonding at work, to us now being able to read each others minds with just a look and a word like “Ohh my goddd” or “Hate it here”. I will forever be team D-Man and T! The first time I met Darius was at a get together at Divon's parents house and we were playing spades against each other. He was trying to act like he didn't know how to play but I saw right through his act. He is definitely a jokester and a fun guy to hang around. Taisha has been cool from day one. I once couldn't remember her name initially, so I called her Taina for a little while but she didn't take any offense to it. My advice to you guys is that communication and compromise is key.

I met Darius through Di’von and at first when I saw him I thought 'man who is this old guy dressed in this designer fit, I’m about to ask him for 20 dollars,' but all jokes aside, when I got to have a conversation with Darius it was 'the sky's the limit' from there. That was when a brotherhood had formed. Now for Taisha, I just knew, from the moment I met her, that she was an amazing woman and I understood why Darius was the guy that he was, because beside every strong and amazing man, there is a strong and amazing woman. I’m blessed to be a part of their lives. Continue to love each other, always communicate, and be there for one another through both the good and bad times. Always remember you both have your kids watching you, so show them how a man and woman should love each other.

I can’t even begin to explain how proud I am and how much love I have for my brother. We have been riding for each other since penny candy back in the day. We have been there for each other since we were little and he never changed on me, he always stayed solid and has always been the father any man would look up to, that’s why I have so much respect for him. I remember our conversation about him and Taisha making it official and I told him "You have a good one bro, you are not going to meet a woman like Taisha, Women like her don’t exist anymore."
