LETS TRY THIS AGAIN!

On a warm, fall September evening in 2015, Khadijah was invited to join a friend for a night out on the town and she was told to meet at an address she assumed was her friends. She arrived at Rivercrest Apartments in Sacramento and found apartment number 246, where a young blonde guy opened the door, told her she had the wrong house, and shut the door in her face. And this was the moment Khadijah and Drew met for the first time. Fortunately for her, Drew opened the door again, told her he was kidding and invited her in, and they proceeded to spend that entire evening together and have seen each other nearly everyday since then. Today, Khadijah and Drew share a home in Sacramento, CA, with their two dogs Rocky and Squirtle. They have their individual interests, but they share a mutual love of Netflix, sour beer and anything and everything Disney. Their engagement took place in Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, CA in front of their favorite ride, Radiator Springs Racers. With their families present in support, Drew and Khadijah decided to spend the rest of their lives together and they are thrilled that you can be a part of it. <3 UPDATE: As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic struck the world and cancelled all large gatherings, weddings included. Our original April 2020 wedding plan was no exception and we were forced to cancel. With months of uncertainty ahead of us, we made the decision to get legally married in June 2020 in a beautiful, intimate ceremony put on by Drew's mother, Valerie, in the backyard of their family home. In the end, we still had the desire to have a celebration of our marriage with all of our closest family and friends, so we decided on a vow renewal! Throughout the pandemic we have gone through several reschedules and even a couple location changes but insecurity about the pandemic and the safety of our guests always forced another change. With our new date set for 2022 we are feeling confident and hopeful that this is our day!
