Our story is one that could only happen through God’s will. Life during the pandemic in 2020 was a weird and difficult time for almost everyone. I (Justice) was working at my local county jail, and when covid hit and everything shut down, I was no longer getting as many hours which led to me deciding to start streaming on twitch for fun and with the hope of making extra money. It ended up being much more successful than I could’ve ever imagined, and I started many lifelong friendships from what began as a hobby. Then, in June of 2021, an amazing girl named Lorran Lynette Powell followed my stream through a mutual friend and occasionally would watch my livestreams. Although, we didn’t interact much initially, later that year in December, we became extremely close. From that point on, we were best friends, always encouraging each other and telling each other everything. I had never met someone so selfless and caring (sometimes too much so) in my life. After over a year of friendship, we finally met for the first time in person in October of 2022 at a friend's wedding. Little did we both know at the time, in about 18 months from then, we would start to see each other as potentially being more than just friends. God opened our eyes to the connection we had and put everything into perspective. I began to realize that the beautiful, kind, and intelligent woman that I called my best friend was way too amazing and important to only be that to me. She was everything that I had wanted, but more importantly, needed in my soulmate. She helped me have more faith in God. She helped me pray more and seek Him. She was God’s greatest gift to me. Having to be long distance throughout our relationship has been unbelievably difficult, and we are so excited to finally put an end to the tearful and heart wrenching goodbyes and continue hand in hand together for the rest of our lives! Our story of how we met even while living 700+ miles apart, to becoming best friends, meeting in person, and, my favorite part, falling in love, has Jesus’s hands all over it, and we are SO thankful He brought us together when we least expected it and is leading us into this next chapter together!
