3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
At this religious ceremony, we will sign our wedding contract and officially become husband and wife! Imam Hossam Musa from the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati will give a brief sermon.
4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
The Mehndi and Holud are two traditional South Asian rituals that normally occur prior to the wedding. The Mehndi, or henna, is a Pakistani ritual during which the bride adorns her hands with henna. The Gaye Holud, or "turmeric on the body," is a Bangladeshi ritual during which turmeric paste is applied by guests to the bride and groom’s face and hands. At this modified version of a Mehndi and Holud party, expect a colorful afternoon of music, dance, food, and customary rituals to celebrate our union.
7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
The celebration moves indoors from the Gardens to the Carriage House for dinner, speeches, and more music!
