How We Met

68W

Brandon and Marissa met via social media. Marissa was in the process of enlisting in the Army. She noticed his profile picture was him in his Army Service Uniform and recognized his name from the recruiter. She could not help but message him for details. After finding out he was a medic, her army job choice, she planned on seeking advice about basic training and how his army medical unit functioned. Marissa planned on staying friends, since she was leaving for basic training that winter, but Brandon won her heart.

The Proposal

#HappilyEverAndexler

Both Disney fans, Brandon and Marissa took their first trip to Walt Disney World together. Brandon had many surprises planned for his princess. Marissa told him to let her know how to dress for each surprise. Mid week, Marissa woke up and asked about her outfit and the plan for the day. Brandon replied that she should dress nice and that they would be going to Magic Kingdom, their favorite park. When Marissa asked about if she should eat breakfast, Brandon told her no. So Marissa assumed they were entering the park for a breakfast reservation, possibly inside Cinderella's castle. Upon arrival to the park, Brandon and Marissa went up to a man with a list, trying to gain early access to the park. To Brandon's surprise, the man said they were not on the list. Brandon expressed a moment of panic. After the man found their names penciled in at the bottom, they were directed to wait in the next line. Marissa told Brandon they should get to the front and walk fast so they could get a good picture before it was too crowded. Brandon hesitated and said he would rather let everyone go first. Little did Marissa know he would be proposing during their picture in front of the castle and he did not want a big crowd behind them watching since the park did not open to regular guests until another hour. When the crowd was let in, Marissa became frustrated and hangry. Finally Brandon decided to get in line to take a picture, looking very nervous. After scanning his bracelet, and taking a few normal pictures with Marissa, he turned to her, said "Marissa Noelle Gulioso," and "Once upon a time..." By that time Marissa was already in tears. He ended with, "Will you marry me and be my happily ever after?" Of course Marissa said yes! There was no breakfast reservation.
