Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

If you can or cannot make our special day, we ask that your RSVP be confirmed or denied no later than April 1st. You can RSVP either online, through the mail, or both! If you do not RSVP before than, we will assume that you are unable to make it. If you show up without RSVP, there will not be a seat available for you during the reception, so please do not forget to do so! We would love to see you there!

Where is the wedding ceremony and reception taking place?

Our wedding (both ceremony & reception) will be located at White Oak Barn Venue. The address is: 5688 Warnke Rd. Michigan City, IN 46360

What attire is appropriate for the big day?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dress up with us! So, we are requesting that all our guests dress in semi-formal. The ceremony will be held outside unless it does rain, while cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors. Please take that into consideration when choosing your attire!

Where should I park for the big day?

Answer

Their is plenty of onsite parking available. All we ask that if you decide to drink (yes, we will have an open bar) that driving arrangements are made beforehand.

Will the ceremony be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held outdoors, but if rain occurs on that day, no worries! We have an indoor space reserved at the same location in case this occurs! We ask that if we are outdoors, guest are dressed appropriately to avoid overheating or being too cold.

What time will the ceremony start and when should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:30pm. We ask that guest arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony. Those who arrive when the ceremony has already began will unfortunately be unable to attend the ceremony, so please arrive early to secure a seat and not miss out on this special day!

May we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an “unplugged” ceremony (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present as we say our I do's. We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us so please allow them to do their best work. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!

What will happen after the ceremony?

Answer

Guest will be directed to the barn where cocktail hour and entertainment will occur. The bridal party and family will not be present during this time since they will be taking photos, but please enjoy! After cocktail hour, dinner will be taking place and the party after that!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Although we love meeting new people, we are not allowing individuals to bring a date unless the invitation allows a "plus one". If you have a "plus one", please RSVP with their name so that we can properly seat them at one of our tables during dinner.

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love children, but for our wedding we ask that the little ones stay home unless they have received an invite. We hope that parents understand and respect this decision, and use our wedding as a "date night", so please come, enjoy food and drinks, and great music!

Answer

Your presence is all that we ask for for our special day, but if you are feeling particularly generous, we do have a registry available. Links are available under the registry tab on our website.
