As most of you know, our story began when my family moved into the same subdivision as Greg's parents in April of 2000. Even though our parents already knew each other through church and sharing the same Sunday school class, our families relationship would grow even closer over the years. Right before the next school year had started, my family moved into the house across the street. I never thought over the years with the countless family gatherings, that I would Marry Greg one day. Although we were neighbors and good friends, Greg wasn't home a lot, so I wasn't around him much. We made small talk when he was home, but for the most part, I had more of a relationship with his parents and niece, Haley. Over the years, I grew even closer to the Adler's and their family at our girls weekend trips, family events and cookouts. It was in my last year of college that Greg and I got to know each other more. As a college student, I cleaned homes on the side to make a little extra money. Greg's home was one of my first homes that I had picked up....... but little did I know I would be cleaning on it forever!!! HA! With my degree in Interior Design, Greg came to me for advise on colors and light fixture for his new home that he had just purchased. Over the course of roughly a month or two while helping him move, Greg must have taken interest in me, because here we are! We've been together just shy of four years. We've grown tremendously as a couple and we couldn't be happier to join our families together.
After a few conversations here and there on marriage. I knew I was going to marry Greg! I had tried on a few rings for fun, but then I found the perfect one. I was in love with the thought of calling Greg my Husband one day. Eventually Greg talked about going to look at rings and I knew an engagement could be in the future for us. After viewing a few rings, months go by and I'm getting excited. More months pass and now I'm wondering....OK Greg! When I say months...were talking like 6 months and we had talked a lot about marriage by this point. I kept saying "Just Waiting" to everyone who asked when we were getting married. After a few weekend trips and the holidays had come and gone. Greg made a reservation at our newly opened restaurant, Nicoletta's at the country club. It was a Thursday night after work and I didn't think much of it. We had a very normal dinner and conversation, but my night completely changed when our waitress brought out our dessert and there it was. THE RING! Placed right in the middle of my tiramisu (one of my favorites). I had instant tears and excitement. I was so excited that I never gave Greg a chance to get on one knee. I jumped up out of my seat and gave him the biggest hug! I had to compose myself a little and tell him he could now ask me the million dollar question. Of course I said YES!!
