We always had mutual friends, just never actually crossed paths until we made very "buzzed" eye contact at the Thirsty Turtle one night. I, Ellen, am officially admitting publically to shooting my shot the next day via FB messenger, and well what do ya know, he answered. And that day, we began the journey to get us where we are today. Although the proposal was nearly exposed by not-so-subtle hints like, "You ARE getting your hair done this weekend, RIGHT?" and "We should get our nails done this weekend!....” “No seriously, we need to get our nails done this weekend", it was still just as I had imagined and always wanted. He planned a sweet surprise proposal, with both of our families gathered around to shower (and record!) us with love. We then had our closest friends come by afterwards to celebrate the night away. Wouldn't have had it any other way <3
