It all started one day during my off season at Six Flags. I needed a job and my sister Ciera said "come work with me. It's a really easy job. I think you will like it. Well, everything except my boss Chris, he's very sarcastic." So I did just that. I applied and went on the interview with this man name Chris. See y'all when I first met Chris, he had a full face of hair and he needed a haircut, but to me, he was perfect! So, I got the job and a few weeks later, I asked Chris if he would hire my friends too. I needed them to see the man of my dreams. Oh! How can I forget, I never said a word to Chris other then about work material of course. But back to the story. So, he hired my friends and even let us work together often. Little did he know, he became the topic of all of our cash register conversations. I had even told my mom that she had to come meet her future son-in-law. Well fast forwarding a little, my mom and I was at a restaurant grabbing a bite to eat and when I looked up, Chris was walking in the door. The butterflies started and I said "mom that's him! That's my boo but he doesn't know it." Chris came over to the table and he introduces himself, "Hey Ma, I'm your son". By now, I'm going crazy. Did he just say son? Does he know I'm crushing on him? Is he crushing on me? Wait, he said son. Lyndsey!! Pull it together. So I got myself together as he said bye. A few days later, we finally spoke after work. We were standing outside talking to a group of people when he said can you take me to my car. Being a sucker for him, I drove him the 2 centimeters and we sat and talked for about an hour. He told me to put my name and number in his phone and the rest, well, let's just say, WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!
We remember it like it was yesterday! It happened on a Friday night in front of our friends and family. Earlier in the week, I told Lyndsey to cancel her plans because we were going to dinner on Friday. I explained to her that I wanted to get dressed up and just go out. She said okay and she would do just that. I GOT HER. Little did she know, this night would change her life forever. So the day begun. She went to work and I began to prepare. I gathered everything I needed to make this day one to remember. Midway through the day however, Lyndsey posted that the power went off at work and she was hoping they would send her home. Wait, don't come home. These were the words running through my mind as I knew that everyone was coming to the house waiting for the proposal. Thankfully, her boss didn't let them go and my plan was back on track. Skipping forward a little, she finally is off work, she stopped for ice-cream and now she was heading home. She walks in the house and I am sitting on the couch waiting for my baby's arrival. She tells me she's going to go get ready and I follow her down the stairs. She walks to the left towards the bathroom to talk to her sister and all I can think is "I need you to go right." Well, she finally went towards the right and that's when it all began. A host of family and friends popped out and well the rest... Lets just say... WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!
