We had mutual best friends- mine at school, his in his home town. I went home with my college friends one weekend to hang out with their friends, and we sat beside each other at dinner. We ended up hanging out and talking all night and texted every day after that! It took Zach about two whole weeks to ask me to officially be his girlfriend, and about three months for me to accidentally tell him I loved him, but he said it back so we just went with it! Haha! We both fell in love with each other almost immediately and are so thankful for the amazing fate that brought us together.
For our last Spring Break as seniors at Liberty University, we went on a Royal Caribbean cruise with four of our other friends. Zach figured out that the second night of the cruise was "formal night," and planned for all of us to take pictures at sunset on the back of the boat. When we got back there, I remember putting my hand on his chest for a picture and feeling his heart beating out of his chest! When I look at his face, he was smiling as he started to describe how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. He got down on one knee and asked me the easiest question I've ever had to answer!
Zach is currently working for an amazing Graphic Design firm, with multiple side-freelance jobs he manages. I, Hannah, have gone back to law school at Campbell University in Downtown Raleigh!
