How We Met

02.22.20

Once upon a time, there were two strangers determined to find love. They both were in search on the World Wide Web. Continue reading both stories, to unfold the unexpected love story. Her Perspective: Searching online, she ran across this handsome guy that intrigued her fancy. Not knowing if he was quite her type, instead of swiping left, she took a chance on forever. Their first date took place at a local Mexican restaurant with a group of her friends. No pressure, right!? The second date consisted of another group date with his friends stargazing into telescopes. How romantic! Weekly dates led to daily weeknight dates, and then COVID-19 hit. Quarantined from March- June these two faced many difficult conversations. Politics, religious views, education, morals, values, Tiger King, and murder hornets just to name a few. She said to herself, if we can make it through 2020, we can make it through anything. Both enjoyed each others company and fell more in love each day. 10 months later, they are soon to be wed! His Perspective: When he first laid eyes on her meeting for their first date, he was awestruck at how beautiful she was, and what a great personality she had. At the end of the first date, he was thrilled that she already wanted to make plans to see him again. After the second date, he knew this was the start of something special. He couldn't explain it, but everything felt natural when they were together, like it was meant to be. He wanted to spend all of his time with her and felt like nothing else mattered. His love for her grew stronger and knew that this was the woman that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

The Proposal

01.10.21

After a heavy snowfall, Colin decided he wanted to take a trip up to the mountains to see some snow since he missed out due to work. He insisted that we bring Harper, the corgi, on the adventure. Traveling up a winding dirt road on ice, we finally made it to the top of Wisemans View. There we took in the breathtaking view of Hawksbill and Table Rock. After a few chilly minutes and a bit of stalling, Colin got down on one knee and pulled out a ring from behind his back. He instantly started tearing up and asked her to marry him. Stephanie gasped in surprise and began to cry too. One of the happiest moments and special memories to date!
