Kara Bramer
Maid of Honor
Ashley has known Kara since she was born, and she couldn’t think of a better way for her to fulfill her younger sister duties than to stand by Ashley’s side on her special day. Cody has taken to calling Kara “sis”, which she prefers over “sister-in-law”, and Kara has promised to call Cody “bro” in return. Kara is a physical therapy graduate student at Mizzou.
Cortney Wolters (Holtmeyer)
Bridesmaid
Cortney is Ashley’s cousin and the person who gets the credit for Ashley and Cody meeting in the first place. Also, Ashley is the Maid of Honor for Cortney’s wedding in July! Little did they know when they planned their futures until 3 AM each night of family vacation, that it would include planning two weddings in the year 2020! Cortney is a Special Education Teacher for the Blair Oaks school district.
Julia D’Agostini
Bridesmaid
Ashley and Julia first met leading a bible study together in college (shoutout to JAK!). They then went on to have the same major to become Speech Language Pathologists—and they both graduated a year early—so they quickly began spending 18 hours a day together! Julia lives in Chicago and works as a speech therapist in the schools.
Tara McAllister (Walsh)
Bridesmaid
Tara and Ashley go all the way back to grade school! Ashley and Tara were after school care buddies, to cheer co-captains in high school, to having the same major in college and both going to Mizzou! Ashley is a bridesmaid for Tara’s wedding in May, simply adding to the list of many things they have done together! Tara is a speech therapist in the St. Louis area.
Rachel Williams
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Ashley met in high school, and became friends around the time Rachel joined the cheerleading team. Fun fact: Vicki (mother of the bride) taught Rachel back in grade school! Rachel is a physical therapist in Illinois.
Paige Franke
Bridesmaid
Paige and Ashley became friends, you guessed it, at cheerleading in high school. Paige is studying to become a Physician’s Assistant in Indianapolis, fully completing the group of high-school-friends-who-entered-the-medical-field-post-college.
Matthew Eidson
Best Man
Matthew knew Cody from being his twin. Just kidding they are 8 and 1/2 years apart, but that doesn’t stop every one from thinking they are twins, including Ashley becoming two inches away from hugging Matthew from behind (thinking it was Cody). Matthew and Cody enjoy playing any and all board games, discussing Marvel things, and eating copious amounts of breakfast food together. Matthew works for Central Technology Services in Jefferson City.
Corey Holtmeyer
Groomsman
Corey and Cody met at El Espolon. They then decided to vacation in Gulf Shores Alabama together, where they really got to know each other over multiple 12 hour car rides! They enjoy talking about all things Chiefs/football and playing board games together. Corey works as an Assistant Produce Manager for Hyvee in Jefferson City.
Ben Howard
Groomsman
Ben met Cody in high school and he roomed with Cody in college. From fishing and shooting guns at Ben's farm and great philosophical debate (hey! stop laughing!) Cody and Ben have been involved in each others lives for the last 14 years. Last October Ben decided to marry Cody’s cousin Rochelle, where Cody served as a groomsman, it is now Ben's turn to return the favor. Ben and Ashley have bonded over their love for the same beer, Michelob Ultra. Ben currently works for Frick’s ham in Washington, Missouri.
Ryan Miller
Groomsman
Cody and Ryan met as infants at their church, and spent much of their life together ever since. Dubbed as each other’s “brotherman”, they have experienced much of life together, from Ryan being a guide to Cody in high school from being a year ahead, to being roommates in Jefferson City for the last 5 years, and most recently getting engaged. Ryan proposed to his girlfriend Amanda Capua in February and they plan to get married later this year. We are so happy for both of them, and glad that Ryan can be by Cody's side for his wedding
Jake Lavelock
Groomsman
Jake and Cody met as roommates in college at Missouri State. Jake and Cody enjoy pretending to be good at golf together and generally saying weird things to each other. Jake and Cody bonded over their shared misery that has turned into a glorious jubilation, in Kansas City Chiefs fandom. Jake works as the newscast director for FOX4 News, in Kansas City, MO.
Tom Tyler
Groomsman
Tom "Thomas" Tyler and Cody met in high school in computers class. A few computer games later, and they were quick friends. They had a bit of time apart as Cody was a year ahead in school, but Tom would attend Missouri State with Cody the next year, and they were roommates after that. Although they live in separate states now, Tom and Cody remain good friends, and we are excited to have him join the wedding party. Tom currently works as a project manager in the IT field.
Chris Burns
Usher
Chris and Cody know each other from work and, of course, El Espolon, as well as daily morning coffee meetings. These coffee meetings were helpful in Ashley knowing Cody had a good time on their first date, as Burns (as we like to call him) texted Cortney (Bridesmaid) a thumbs up the next day, which was obviously code for “Cody loves this girl and is going to marry her.”
Cory Jackson
Usher
Cory works for the State of Missouri. Cory and Cody met at Burns (other Usher)’s desk. Cory and Cody enjoy playing golf, watching Chiefs football, and an occasional wrestling pay-per-view together. Cory, his girlfriend Moriah, and her daughter Kimber (flower girl) also frequent El Espolon, which I’m sure is no surprise to anyone by this point.
Ethan Dultz
Usher
Ethan is the boyfriend of Kara (Maid of Honor), and has been part of the Bramer girls for over 3 years now. Ethan and Cody have enjoyed competing for the title of best son-in-law (even though neither of them are sons-in-law yet) and Ashley and Ethan enjoy annoying Kara together.
Bryce Bogart
Usher
Ashley and Bryce met at Mizzou, where Ashley spent more days at Bryce’s apartment (next door to hers) than at her own. Bryce and Ashley became President and Vice-President of the Alpha chapter of Sigma Eta Rho, a professional health professionals fraternity on campus, and their best friendship was sealed over weekly “meetings” at the Heidleberg consisting of 2 (or 7) Blue Moons. Bryce works for University of Indiana Health in Indianapolis, IN.
Kimber Waters
Flower Girl
Kimber is the daughter of Moriah Evans, a nurse at Capital Region (where Ashley works). Kimber and Ashley enjoy passing out Halloween candy and discussing Monster High and LOL dolls together. This is Kimber’s fifth wedding as flower girl, so she definitely has some experience.
Jaxton Burns
Ring Bearer
Son of Chris (Usher), Jaxton met Cody and Ashley shortly after birth. Cody and Jax enjoy talking about the Chiefs, the color red, and “babas” (or beer). He is clearly a professional ring bearer and the right man for the job.
Bill Lange
Officiant
Bill Lange is the preacher at Etterville Christian Church, where he has preached since 2007. Bill has done a wonderful job behind the pulpit not just in preaching, but he also has a wonderful singing voice. Bill is also a cinnamon roll maker extraordinaire and a talented Rook player (though, it should be noted, he is always the score keeper).
